A Pre-Sunday Lunch Walk in the Quantocks

When the weather turns cold and the skies are clear there is no better place than up high on the hills and the Quantocks are just perfect at this time of year.

This walk took us from Dead Woman’s Ditch, over to Crowcombe Park Gate and back to Dead Woman’s Ditch via Wilmot’s Pool. It’s two miles and about 45 minutes walking with fantastic views across the Quantock Hills, over into Exmoor to the west.

This made a wonderful pre-lunch hike and on returning to Nether Stowey we stopped off for a swift half in front of a roaring log fire at the Ancient Mariner. The perfect Sunday morning!
